  • Introduction

The Wacky Wine Weekend, held annually during the last week of May, will be hosting its 15th Festival in 2018 in the picturesque Robertson Wine Valley in the Boland. With the Langeberg Mountains on the one side and the vineyards on the other side, it is one of the most beautiful tourism destinations in South Africa.

Travel this year by bus from Cape Town via Bellville, Paarl & Worcester to this event. This is a ‘jam packed’ tour to allow you to be away from home only for a short period, but still enjoy comfort, safety, service and value for money. Similar packages with other companies will cost you R6000+.

This event started almost two decades ago when the local farmers realised that they need to do something extra to promote their wines and region. Hence the Tourism offices, farmers, wine estates and local business community of the towns of Robertson, Bonnievale, Ashton and McGregor put their heads together to host the WWW.  Visit their official website and get the latest news of what is happening when and what specials they have on offer.

This festival is not hosted at one venue in one town, but at the 30+ Wine estates in the region participating in the Festival. Every estate has its own festive program, activities, food, performers and wine – to taste & buy. This is REAL “platteland” hospitality at its best.

There are many ways of travelling to Robertson. Another one is by bus at an affordable price. No driving, no tollgate, no punctures, no petrol increases and no breakdowns. (Unfortunately our trains don’t run to Robertson anymore).

You will spend time at various wine estates and cellars, where you’ll find local good quality wine, food, art products, local produce, good music, friendly people and much more.

Your wine tasting ticket (coupons) for ALL the estates that we visit is included in the tour price and remember you don’t need to drive at any stage. You’ll travel by bus to various Estates and Cellars.

You’ll be staying for three nights at the Avalon Springs Resort in Montagu with hot water springs and pools, beautiful gardens and good facilities.

We take all the planning, worries and concerns out of your hands. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the WWW, scenery and friends. Book NOW!
