2011 CAPE TOWN JAZZ FESTIVAL TRAIN TOUR

Departing from Jo’burg (Return trip)
Our 7th Train Tour to the CPT Jazz Festival

JB Train Tours invites you to join us again on our annual train tour to the 12th Cape Town Jazz Festival, formerly known as the North Sea Jazz Festival. All our previous tours were good and fully booked well in advance – don’t miss this one.

All the big names in the jazz community will be there. Visit the official website:  www.capetownjazzfest.com  and get the latest news of who will be performing, at what times and what specials they have on offer.

There are 5 live shows at the same time. Lots to eat and drink are available at the CTICC. Entry fee of R485 per person (for both days) to the Jazz Festival is included in the tour price. Note: Passengers’ entry tickets are guaranteed.

On Friday, 25th March, doors open at 17:00 (shows start at 19:00) until very late, in the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), a brisk walk from the hotel where you’ll be staying. On Saturday doors open again at 17:00, (shows start at 19:00) again till late. (It is advised that you visit Robben Island, Table Mountain or the city on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning!)

No shuttle bus would be needed. The hotel is very close to the CTICC!!

This tour is a combination of: Travelling by train; enjoying Cape Town at a very affordable rate, sleeping in a top hotel with good facilities; enjoying the beach and sea, visiting the very popular and renowned Cape Town Jazz Festival or just relax. This tour is one day longer than the 2010 one – more time to enjoy the Mother City!

Are you tired of driving, looking for accommodation and worrying about the logistics? We’ll take you there. When travelling by train, you don’t have to worry about increasing petrol prices, tollgate fees, heavy traffic, driving back or sitting long hours in your car.

This year you’ll be travelling again on the Trans Karoo Tourist class train and you’ll be staying in the 4-star Fountains hotel in Cape Town on a B&B basis. (Visit http://www.leisurehotels.co.za) This tour is comfortable, affordable, safe & secure; everything is arranged for you and it is VERY price competitive.

Any person who is interested in going to Cape Town and enjoy the Jazz Festival may join us! I.e. family, friends, children and girl friend, from anywhere!

Note: Unfortunately no Disco Carriage allowed on the train.
